What is Vendor Scout?+
Vendor Scout is a marketplace that connects event hosts with professional vendors across Australia and New Zealand. Whether you're planning a wedding, corporate event, festival, or private party, you can discover vetted vendors by category, location, price, and availability — then send a collaboration request in one tap.
Is Vendor Scout free to use?+
Yes! Browsing vendors and events, sending collaboration requests, and messaging are completely free. Vendors can list their services and take advantage of our launch sale — subscriptions are free until 1 February 2027. A small listing fee applies after the sale period to keep your listing visible in search results.
Which areas does Vendor Scout cover?+
Vendor Scout operates across all of Australia and New Zealand. We have vendors and events in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Gold Coast, Canberra, Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Queenstown, and many more cities and regional areas. Search by your location to find local vendors near you.
How do I find vendors for my event?+
Use the search bar on the home page to filter by location, category, price range, and availability. You can switch between "Looking for Vendors" and "Looking for Events" modes. When you find a vendor you like, send a collaboration request with your event details — if they accept, you'll be connected in a direct chat to work out the details.
How do I list my vendor services?+
Create a free profile, then add a vendor listing with your category, description, pricing, location, photos, and availability calendar. You can create multiple listings for different services. To make your listing visible in search results, choose a subscription plan — during our launch sale, all subscriptions are free until 1 February 2027.
How do collaboration requests work?+
When you find a vendor or event you're interested in, tap "Send Request" and include a message and your event date. The recipient can accept or decline. Once accepted, a conversation opens between you both so you can discuss details directly. Your contact information stays private until you choose to share it in the chat.
Can I list both vendor services and events?+
Yes! Every user can create both vendor listings (offering services) and event listings (looking for vendors). This makes Vendor Scout ideal for anyone in the events industry — a caterer who also hosts food festivals, a photographer who runs workshops, or a venue that organises its own events.
What types of events can I find vendors for?+
Vendor Scout covers every type of event — weddings, corporate functions, birthdays, festivals, concerts, markets, conferences, workshops, community events, and more. Our vendor categories include food and catering, venues, entertainment, photography and video, styling and décor, planning and management, equipment hire, and many more.
How do I contact a vendor or event host?+
Your contact details (email, phone) stay private by default. When you send a collaboration request and it's accepted, you'll be connected in an in-app conversation. You can share a contact card with your details at any point in the chat — but only when you're ready.
Can I review vendors after my event?+
Yes! After a collaboration is completed, you'll receive a review request. You can rate your experience and leave a comment. Reviews help other users make informed decisions and help quality vendors stand out.
